ulla clark

Ulla was introduced to Scandinavian textiles at a young age. Growing up with a Swedish mother and frequently visiting Sweden and her relatives’ homes adorned with collections of hand-embroidered and screen printed linens, her fondness for table runners and napkins blossomed. Ulla has always been drawn to the pleasing simplicity that nature provides, she spent a decade working outside in nature, often finding time for collecting and cataloguing plants and flowers. Her strong affection for nature as well as her memories of the beautiful, yet functional linens, are a constant inspiration for her own products.

Ulla lives in the small mountain town of Pemberton, BC where she owns and works from her screen printing studio, Limelight Screen Printing. Her love of printing combined with an experimental nature led her to start LUprints in 2006. LUprints combines her creativity and heritage and a desire to produce fun and fresh linens for everyday living.

Her current line of linens are a direct pairing of design and craftsmanship with the intent to bring a little piece of nature into peoples’ homes. LUprints products are currently available via an online store, www.luprints.com, as well as in a few select shops. This holiday season she will also be attending The Circle Craft in Vancouver, and Bizarre Bazaar in Whistler.
